Roma is a nomadic marginalized minority of the world, coming from regions close to India, living mostly in Europe. The majority of their population is not accepted as a vital part of the socioeconomic and cultural activities of the cities they reside in, resulting in them living in the outskirts of society.
The Roma population in Greece is about 300.000. Next to the biggest port of Greece, Piraeus, there is a Roma camp site, where approximately 100 people find refuge. Through every day's struggles they survive and revel in every chance. From a very young age they learn to work and try to cater to their families' needs, struggling to find work and recognition from their communities.
During the X-mas period they all come together, cooking, celebrating their family bonds and taking care of each other, being open to friends from other parts of the city.
